PROJECT CONTEXT
Fellowshop is a shared coworking space built for the design community — a place where creative professionals come to work alongside one another in an environment that reflects the values they bring to their own work. The space inherited something rare: a bowtruss wood ceiling structure of genuine architectural character, exposed brick walls, and the kind of bones that most renovations bury.
The challenge was to honor all of it. To design lighting that activated the space without competing with it — functional, warm, and completely at ease with what was already there.
APPROACH & PROCESS
Exploring multiple solutions before committing allowed the team to land on an approach that was nimble to coordinate, straightforward to install, and genuinely beautiful in execution. Ambition and economy, held in balance.
OUTCOME & IMPACT
Fellowshop has become exactly what its founders intended: a destination for design professionals who recognize quality when they’re inside it. The space feels special and singular — not despite its constraints, but because of how honestly they were met.
The bowtruss reads. The brick breathes. The light does its job without demanding focus.
This project proves that lighting can be on a budget and not be boring.
